A Focused Definition
Within the industry, the service described as Civil Engineering is often a catch-all term. At Civiltech, our Civil Engineering services define and support foundations of our business, Municipal and Civil Site Engineering. We serve our municipal clients in their transportation capital improvement and maintenance programs, and we provide the expertise and disciplines to address all aspects of a project’s site related needs.
Civiltech offers our clients expert assistance in identifying and planning projects, and then finding and securing funding sources for project implementation. We have grant writing experts on staff and can help create a funding strategy and action plan. Our team has secured millions in funding dollars for communities through various state and federal grant sources. We stay up to date on potential opportunities, and work with our clients to maximize all available funding.
Addison Road Water Main Replacement
Village of Addison
Approximately 3,100 feet of water main is being replaced along Addison Road and another 400 feet along Oak Street. The water main along Addison Road is being replaced with a 12 inch ductile iron pipe, and the water main along Oak Street is being replaced with a 6 inch ductile iron pipe. The existing water main are to be capped and abandoned. With the mix of commercial, residential, and multi-family properties along the roadways, the project requires reestablishment of a significant number of service connections. Due to the extensive amount of utilities located in the parkway, most of the water main alignment along Addison Road needs to be placed within the limits of the roadway. The alignment is designed to avoid valve placement in the wheelpath and to minimize inconveniences due to the construction for motoring public.
Municipalities routinely struggle with the need to maintain and improve infrastructure on tight budgets. Agencies must achieve the best expenditures of municipal funds while making critical decisions concerning the rehabilitation or replacement of infrastructure. We serve as an advocate for our municipal clients ensuring that limited resources are spent efficiently on improvements that will last. Civiltech also successfully assists communities in leveraging local funding to obtain funds from State and Federal grant sources.
