Tom is Civiltech’s Director of Structural Design Services. He has a wide breadth of experience with Phase I, II & III for highway structure projects, ranging from short retaining walls to major river crossings. His project work experience includes services for IDOT (D1, D2 & D7), ISTHA, Kane County, Cook County, Will County, Lake County, McHenry County, Dupage County, various local municipalities (Geneva, Hanover Park, Aurora & others), and other state agencies (Iowa, Michigan & Kentucky). In the industry, he has also served on the executive boards for the Illinois Section – American Society of Civil Engineers (IS-ASCE) and Structural Engineering Institute Illinois Chapter for many years and maintained involvement with other organizations such as ACEC-IL, APWA Fox Valley Branch, SEAOI, and NSBA.
Fun fact: Tom lives in Geneva with his wife Amanda, daughter Ingrid (born June 2024), dogs Stu & Nadia, and turtle Rudy. He has too many hobbies which include cooking, guitar, drums, woodworking, metalworking, DIY house projects, beer brewing, and falling into YouTube video rabbit holes on various topics.
