Civiltech is proud to announce the launch of our new Landscape Architecture department under the direction of Phil Hutchinson, PLA, LEED AP. Our Landscape Architecture services were previously part of our Urban Design & Traffic department. The Landscape Architecture and Urban Design team specializes in designing pedestrian environments, placemaking, community identity, green infrastructure, and native plantings that define the aesthetics of our transportation improvements.
The new Landscape Architecture department will expand our client services and project opportunities. These services will continue to include roadway and trail transportation corridors, and will extend into additional urban settings, such as parks, plazas and other green spaces. Within the new department structure, our team will expand the pursuit of complete streets and placemaking design, while incorporating sustainable design solutions through the application of green infrastructure and native plantings, and for improving the urban tree canopy. The team will also have the opportunity to serve our clients with stand-alone landscape design projects and in-depth site design services. 
The new Landscape Architecture department also houses our Digital Rendering team. This team, under Phil’s direction, produces cutting-edge renderings, 3D models, graphics and video animations. These tools allow our design teams to develop innovative solutions, and provide our clients with visualizations that clearly and effectively communicate proposed solutions.
